Travel & Transport

Northbrook Park has parking on site for all our guests.

For satnav directions use postcode GU10 5EU.

You can locate the car park using the What3words address:

Directions

You'll find Northbrook Park on the A31 between Farnham and Alton.

From Farnham, follow signs for Winchester A31. After the Coxbridge roundabout and Coxbridge business park, follow the road for another mile. The turning is signposted in advance and at the junction itself with signs reading "Northbrook".

After turning into the estate, follow signs for the car park.
Farnham is served by South Western Railway trains from London Waterloo. Farnham station is the closest station to Northbrook Park.

At Waterloo, look for trains with the destination Alton. They depart every half hour for most of the day, and hourly in the late evening. The journey to Farnham takes about an hour.

If you are staying in Aldershot or Farnborough, trains from Waterloo also serve those stations and will be more convenient for your hotel.

Tickets

Train tickets are released for sale about three months in advance, so tickets for July will be available to book in March. If your journey is entirely with South Western Railway there is almost no difference in price if you book in advance, but if you are travelling from further afield you may find other train operators offer better prices for advance tickets.

Taxis from Farnham station

If you arrive in Farnham by train, you will find taxis waiting outside the station – exit via the ticket office on platform 1 to find them. When arriving from London this means you need to cross the tracks. You can cross the footbridge to do this, but if you have large bags it may be easier to exit the station from platform 2 and cross the tracks at the level crossing - it's not much further and involves no steps.

If you don't find taxis waiting outside the station some local taxi companies are listed on this page - click "taxi" above.

Hotels in Farnham (e.g. The Bush Hotel and the Premier Inn) are about 5 minutes from the station by taxi.  Northbrook Park and the Farnham House Hotel are about 10 minutes away.
If you're not staying with us on site, you might need a taxi back to your hotel - these are some local options.

Prime Taxis - 01252 902713

Farnham 24hr Taxis - 01252 309243

Farnham Taxi Cars - 01252 280140

Orange Taxis Farnham - 01252 364666
There are no direct trains from Heathrow to Farnham. The simplest journey is to use the express RailAir coach service to Woking station. At Woking there are direct trains to Farnham. This avoids a complex journey via central London which would involve multiple changes.

Booking coach tickets

Tickets for the RailAir coach can be booked up to three months in advance through the website www.railair.com. Tickets for July will be available for booking by the end of March.

The best prices are found by booking in advance, but it is possible to board the coach
without a booking and pay when you board, providing there is enough space. The coach driver will accept cash and contactless payments.

If your flight is delayed, your ticket will still be valid, and you will be able to catch a later service than the one you booked as long as there is enough space on board.

Tickets includes two 30kg bags, plus hand luggage, per person. If you need to bring extra luggage you can pay a £5 supplement per bag.

Booking train tickets

See the section on "trains" (above) for more information about train tickets.

Finding the coach at Heathrow

If your flight lands at Heathrow Terminal 2, go to level 0. The bus calls at stand 11 or 12.

If your flight lands at Heathrow Terminal 3, go to level 0. The bus calls at stand 7 or 8.

If your flight lands at Heathrow Terminal 5, go to level 0 and follow signs for “local buses”. The bus calls at stand 9.

You are looking for coach RA2 with a destination of Guildford.

The journey to Woking takes about 35 minutes and the bus stops at the main entrance to Woking station.

Finding the train at Woking

Enter the station (the ticket office is on your left) and pass through the ticket gates to
platform 5. Your train will depart from this platform.

You need to board any train with the destination Alton. They run every half hour for most of the day, and hourly in the late evening. The train takes about 30 minutes to reach Farnham. Information on what to do when you arrive at Farnham is in the section on "trains" (above).

Places to eat

We'd love you to join us for brunch on Sunday morning at Megan's, West Street, Farnham. It's a chance to get together, see each other one more time and say farewells before the wedding party disperses.

If you're staying in the area a bit longer, there are lots of great places to eat in Farnham. Park in the Central Car Park and take a stroll around Downing Street, The Borough and picturesque Castle Street where you'll find all sorts of options. There are many of the usual chains (Pizza Express, Zizzi, Bill's), plus some of our favourites...

FAQ

Can I bring a plus one?

We are very limited on numbers so we regret that only the person or people named on your invitation can be accommodated at the wedding.  Unfortunately this also means that we can't invite any children.

Where will the reception be?

Our reception will be at the same venue as our wedding ceremony, Northbrook Park.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Yes, but we have an amazing photographer who will be capturing the day, so we'd ask that you please don't get in his way.

Can I post pictures of Chris and Kate on social media?

Please don't post pictures of Chris and Kate until after the wedding weekend is over.

What time does the evening reception end?

Northbrook Park have strict rules about event finish times. Music will be switched off at 23.30.

Do you have a Gift Registry or List?

No.  We would ask you not to buy or bring us a gift.  It's more than enough that you are spending the weekend with us and we are so grateful that you will be there.  Let's make some future plans together instead of a gift, we would much prefer this.

I have another question that's not answered here, who do I ask?

You can send us a WhatsApp or give us a call, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
